Coat of Arms
The original design called for a robed monk carved in English Oak to be installed at the corner of the bar. Our Client asked if a knight from the family coat of arms could be substituted. Working from an image of the coat of arms, E.M. Rose commissioned the carving of the knight in English Bog Oak carbon dated to be 6000 years old. Through our experience we were in a position to suggest this unique material and acquire it for the project.
Award Winning Theater
This award winning Theater of the Year in 2007 was designed by Theo Kalamorakis in collaboration with E.M.Rose. E.M. Rose defined the program for the project in the English Country House style. The theater is constructed beneath the library of the house. Our responsibility was to detail the new theatre acoustically so it would be isolated from the Library so both rooms could be enjoyed at the same time.
The Architects vision for the wine cellar was a labyrinth of groined vaults. To meet the budget requirements E.M. Rose designed the entire interior to be made of plaster and faux painted as Limestone.
